Believe in the Power of Thoughts
For those of us familiar with creative visualization these ideas are not very surprising. We know that our dominating thought patterns are often realized in our lives. For better or worse, what we think creates the circumstances that we find ourselves in.
Your beliefs influence the way that you perceive the world. Those beliefs have a strong influence on how you choose to act. I’ll give you a simple example. Imagine that you are going to a job interview. Think about how you would act if you knew that the job was pretty much guaranteed. Your perception of the interview is that it will be easy. You’ll probably think that it will be a fun exciting experience because it’s just a formality before you accept your new job.
On the other hand, imagine that you are interviewing for a job and you are not confident that you will get it. The job is something that you really want to do, but you are unsure whether you are the best person for the job. How might you act differently in the interview?
It’s probably easy to see that if you are confident and relaxed in the interview, then you would be more likely to succeed. If you are nervous, unsure, and don’t come across well to the interviewer, then it’s going to be more difficult to get the job. In this case we can clearly see how your thoughts influence your reality. Your thoughts aren’t true in either case, but it is your belief in them that makes them true.
Creative visualization can be very useful in this circumstance. By visualizing yourself being confident and relaxed you can positively influence your behavior. Creative visualization will help shape your thoughts so that you can act towards the best possible outcome.
Most people tend to accept the thoughts in their head as reality, instead of taking the time to question them. By accepting every thought you are creating reality to be in line with those thoughts! So, if you want a better reality, you have to take the time to cultivate healthier and more positive thoughts! After all – thoughts become things.
When you create a picture in your mind that you can firmly believe in, then your thoughts will align with the version of reality that you created. By focusing on creating the story that you want you can work to make it real.
Creative visualization exercises can help you shape your reality in a positive way. Just make sure you are putting in the mental work. Take the time to visualize change.
